I'm psyched Puree has finally opened - there's been nothing like this in the area, and if you wanted real juices made from 100% organic, locally sourced fruit and veg, packed with vitamins and minerals, you were stuck with juicing at home. Somehow their juicer (which I gather is quite different from the centrifugal one I use at home) produces clearer, better juices than I can make, and the ingredient list includes things I have never tried, such as mesquite (tried it today - made from the seeds and slightly sweet), maca and cacao nibs.
The juice costs more than bottled stuff from Whole Foods or juices from chains such as Jamba, but I think of it as a spa for my insides - a replacement for a meal. Can't wait to try the orange lassi on my next visit - which will be very soon.
Puree Artisan Juice Bar will be opening late summer 2011. Making fresh pressed organic juice, cleanse packages, raw food, healthy raw desserts, lovely mocktails and healthy purees (smoothies). All fresh organic, vegan and delicious. No dairy, no sugar, no animal products. Ever. Can't wait till it opens!
