Hidden Villa Farm & Wilderness

I joined a CSA for the first time this year, and got into the Hidden Villa program before they filled up. These things fill up fast so if you want to get into one don't delay like I did last year, but sign up for next year now. Actually the reason I didn't sign up last year is that I was afraid: you have to make a year-long commitment, which doesn't make it easy to sample the food first to make sure it's good. It would be nice if they offered a trial program, but I guess they're not really hurting for customers. Anyways, first weekly delivery for 2008 just arrived, and I have to say the food quality is excellent! Nothing too exotic yet (the food changes throughout the year) but excellent variety. I'd recommend this or another CSA if you are like me: like to eat good healthy locally-produced food, but are too lazy to go around to farmer's markets and find whole foods too expensive. You just have to pick up your basket once a week, in either Mountain View or Palo Alto.
