I highly recommend going to the CSLB website first. There you will see that Beohana Solar doesn't hold their own contractors license, but uses someone elses. What this means is that if you have a problem and report them to the contractors license board (which some people have done) they won't have a direct link to Beohana. I also suggest going to the BBB website, where you'll see that Beohana isn't listed as a BBB member, and is in fact listed as having two complaints against them in the last year alone. They don't appear to hold any of the major certifications usually associated with a qualified solar installation contractor.

The bottom line with any contractor is to do your homework. Some require more than most. And remember, in the state of California, a contractor can ONLY charge 10% down or $1000, whichever is LESS. Anything more is ILLEGAL.
