Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is the option preferred by eco-enthusiasts looking for practical solutions to their food problems that also benefit local farmers and the environment over the long term. Plus, they’re an incredibly convenient way to buy fresh and seasonal foods – everything from tomatoes to fresh flowers to cheese to apple pie.

CSA program greenness is calculated based on the following factors as shown below. If a factor is not relevant for a particular listing, or we do not have sufficient data for a particular factor, then that factor is excluded from the calculation, and greenness is calculated based on the remaining factors.
